I wish to become an artist in hopes that I may create content to inspire those that have inspired me.

Your art looks great. You have a lot of potential, I can see it. But please try to stay positive. When you get bad thoughts, think about something nice. You also don't need to be happy with all your art, just remember every draw helps you improve.

Thank you for the kind words, it really does mean a lot!
I will try to get back into my art, I have been wanting to. I will try to stay positive!

solar-citrus:

I’ve received a lot of letters from artists asking to check out their artwork and their blog, and I’ve noticed that a lot of them openly write unhealthy amounts of negative comments about their artwork, it was super depressing, honestly.  :(
Confidence plays a very very important role as an artist, it’s what helps us learn and grow without the constant feeling of doubt and jealousy!  You are a unique individual who must go down your own unique path, and as scary as it sounds, you can’t rely on others to hold your hand all the way through.  You are the only one who can get yourself to where you need to go, and beating up your artwork is not the way!  Trust yourself and your abilities to make a change, and you can do anything!!

Love your art, love yourself!

If only it were that easy.

This week’s episode of Steven Universe featured a very special collaboration between The Crewniverse and Studio TRIGGER’s extremely talented Takafumi Hori.
This episode was beautiful and truly a surreal experience.
Please show Hori-San some love~

This Blog

This blog was meant to be my art blog and a place for only my art and very specific art related subjects. This one was to be separate from my “personal” blog, however it has been a hassle to manage my accounts this way.
My usage of this one has far surpassed what was supposed to be my main one, and restricting myself from posting anything but my own content is extremely stressful because it makes me feel obligated to force out content, and keep a certain structure that I am in no state to maintain right now. I could never really feel too “involved” with anything because of the way I was trying to run my blog and focusing solely on posting nothing but my own content that I do not steadily produce was stressful and depressing, not to be dramatic.
What I plan to do with this blog from now on is to embrace art and animation and express my love for the medium. I’ll highlight artists from time to time and link to their works, discuss art and animation from games and post rare concept art etc, generally keeping this blog within that realm of content.
I hope I can provide a unique kind of infotainment to whomever decides to follow me.
Enjoy your stay.

shout-out to the artists who post a piece they are proud of only to have it get 5 or 6 notes

shout-out to the artists who don’t dedicate their lives to art/draw for the fun of it

shout-out to the artists who don’t get support from friends or family because they aren’t talented enough

shout-out to the artists who feel excluded from the fandom because they can’t draw as well as other fanartists

shout-out to the artists who taught themselves how to draw and/or can’t afford professional lessons

shout-out to the artists who can only draw one thing and draw it over and over
